On Fourth of July weekend, the longest-running wine festival in New Mexico will celebrate the oldest wine-growing region in the 近距离内射合集 States.

That summer tradition is known as the Santa Fe Wine Festival, which takes place at El Rancho de Las Golondrinas and highlights the 17 New Mexico wineries in attendance. The festival will be celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year. More than 2,000 people are expected to pass through the gates each day.

鈥淲e鈥檝e done it around the Fourth of July for many years now, but it鈥檚 been a while since it鈥檚 landed directly on the fourth,鈥� JC Gonzalez, Las Golondrinas special event and site rental manager, said. 鈥淪o we鈥檙e really excited for it to be a celebratory event for people to come out, maybe before they barbecue or do fireworks in the evening. Since our event is from 12 to 6, they can come by and catch this event in the afternoon, or maybe buy some bottles of wine for their party later that evening.鈥�

The Santa Fe Wine Festival is a party in itself.

El Rancho de Las Golondrinas is an outdoor living history museum that spans 500 acres with 34 historic buildings and a plethora of volunteer interpreters, some of whom will be in action during the festival. It just might be the perfect setting for this type of event.

鈥淲e have a really fantastic turnout and it鈥檚 a really fun celebratory event,鈥� Gonzalez said. Our vendors always look forward to coming back. It is said that New Mexico has the oldest winemaking traditions in the 近距离内射合集 States. I think having it out here on our historic ranch property is a really fitting experience.鈥�

In addition to the lineup of wineries, Beer Creek Brewing Company 鈥� which uses hops grown on site at Las Golondrinas 鈥� and Mystic Ambrosia Mead will be in attendance for those who don鈥檛 drink wine.

The event also features a variety of musical and dance acts, including Christina Gomez Y Los Cuates, Zile Kenep, Theo Kutsko, the Cali Shaw Band and performances from the National Institute of Flamenco. Approximately 50 artisan vendors will be selling handmade crafts and goods, and there will be food trucks selling everything from tacos to pasta to sweet treats.

Attendees can purchase a VIP ticket to supplement the experience in comfortable fashion. The air-conditioned lounge setting offers guests the opportunity to further explore some of the wineries and enjoy hors d鈥檕euvres, private tastings and a private, shaded patio.

As with any summer event 鈥� even in northern New Mexico 鈥� it鈥檚 best to dress for warm weather and prepare accordingly with plenty of sunscreen and water, Gonzalez said.

鈥淲e have different hydration stations on site as well as water bottles for sale for $1,鈥� Gonzalez said. 鈥淎nd also, our grounds are outdoors. So we recommend comfortable footwear, but I鈥檝e definitely seen people out here in stilettos.鈥�
