Griff鈥檚 Hamburgers announced on July 5 that they were closing the Albuquerque location the next day. The hamburger chain will keep its other locations in Texas and Louisiana open. The announcement said the restaurant was closing due to incidents that made it 鈥渦nsafe and undesirable鈥� to continue operating. The announcement said that Griff鈥檚 has not been able to make the improvements its 鈥渓oyal customers in Albuquerque deserve.鈥� The hamburger spot has been in Albuquerque for 60 years. The announcement said that Griff鈥檚 hopes to return to Albuquerque in the future.
