Lady Camden is getting used to life on the road.

As one of the drag performers in 鈥淩uPaul鈥檚 Drag Race: Werq the World Tour 2023,鈥� the weekly grind of five shows and then two days off is starting to feel comfortable.

鈥淭he tour has been really fun,鈥� Lady Camden says. 鈥淚n the beginning of the tour, there were new challenges. The show we鈥檙e doing is taking it to the next level. The creators wanted it to be more than a drag show. They wanted it to have a narrative and be cohesive in the story.鈥�

The drag show will make a stop at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at Rio Rancho Events Center.

The traveling show has made stops in over 100 cities across the 近距离内射合集 States, Canada, Australia, Asia, Europe and Mexico.

Set in a dystopian future, the stars of 鈥淩uPaul鈥檚 Drag Race鈥� must choose between the real world and the artificial world they have come to know.

The 2023 show delivers an all-new sci-fi production specially designed for large venues and arenas.

鈥淲e鈥檝e really elevated the show this year with a cohesive story line that weaves theater into large scale concert style performance,鈥� says Brandon Voss, the show鈥檚 producer. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a multimillion dollar production that rivals the largest popstars in the world.鈥�

The North American cast will feature Asia O鈥橦ara, Bosco, Mistress Isabel Brooks, Laganja Estranja, DeJa Skye, Lady Camden, Ros茅 and Sasha Colby.

Lady Camden says the production value on this year鈥檚 tour has been upped.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a much more complicated show,鈥� she says. 鈥淲e do voiceovers and there鈥檚 a ton of choreography. Asia is the host of the show and she weaves in and out of numbers. It did take us a few shows for us to know what鈥檚 going on. Now, we鈥檙e in the groove and feeling great on stage.鈥�

Of course, Lady Camden says there have been moments of freaking out by the cast.

鈥淚鈥檓 a drag queen,鈥� she says. 鈥淏efore that, I was a ballet dancer. We鈥檙e crazy perfectionists. When I miss steps or I don鈥檛 nail a lift, I get mad and sulk backstage. It lasts only a moment.鈥�

Lady Camden recalls watching a documentary on 鈥淲erq the World鈥� prior to being cast on season 14 of 鈥淩uPaul鈥檚 Drag Race鈥� in 2022. In the season, she placed second.

鈥淚 remember watching the documentary and thinking it would be great to be part of the show,鈥� she says. 鈥淎t the time, I was waiting to hear if I had been cast on the show. I was with my drag mother in Oakland and she told me that I would be there one day. Literally after she said that, I got the call to be on season 14.鈥�

The tour is Lady Camden鈥檚 second time traveling the country. It will also be her second time in New Mexico.

鈥淲e performed in Albuquerque last year,鈥� she says. 鈥淲e had days off and went to Santa Fe and then explored Albuquerque. The people were so welcoming and we can鈥檛 wait to get back.鈥�
