Don鈥檛 put away the snowboard or skis just because the sun is setting. Angel Fire Resort is offering night skiing and snowboarding through March.

Wolfe Ashcraft, Angel Fire director of marketing, said night skiing is a great opportunity to experience something different.

鈥淧eople are used to skiing during the day, which is awesome and so much fun,鈥 Ashcraft, 鈥渂ut skiing at night adds kind of another layer of a very different experience with the dark and the stars and the temperature and the quiet.鈥

No matter when you attend, Ashcraft said, you get the chance to ski with the sunset.

鈥淪kiing with the sunset 鈥 just really makes it a kind of a truly Angel Fire experience,鈥 Ashcraft said, 鈥渁nd just adds to the ambiance and the uniqueness of our resort.

鈥淎s we get more into spring, the sun sets a little bit later, but you still get to capture that golden hour that we all long for,鈥 Ashcraft said.

He said it is a great opportunity for those traveling long distances to come to the resort and start skiing right away.

鈥淵ou can start your ski vacation the minute you arrive,鈥 Ashcraft said.

Night ski and snowboarding tickets are $35 or $25 when added to a day ticket, with discounted tickets for qualified individuals. Tickets can be purchased starting at 2 p.m. at the resort and are not available online.

Ashcraft said you can ski the same runs during the day, then at night feel like you are in a whole different place.

鈥淚 spent 30 years skiing this mountain, and I know every single aspect, every role, every part of every run,鈥 Ashcraft said, 鈥渁nd when I came back and I night skied, it was like I was seeing it all again for the first time.鈥

鈥淚t鈥檚 kind of magical,鈥 he said.
