FBI releases few details after killing person in Albuquerque
The FBI shot and killed a person Tuesday morning in Albuquerque but released few details about the incident, including where it took place.
The agency鈥檚 Public Affairs Office said in a news release that the shooting occurred around 6 a.m.
鈥淥ne subject is deceased and FBI personnel were unharmed,鈥 according to the release. 鈥淭he FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously.鈥
The FBI did not say where in the city the shooting happened, if the person who was killed had a weapon or give any other details.
鈥淚n accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI鈥檚 Inspection Division,鈥 according to the release. 鈥淎s this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.鈥
A spokesperson declined to answer multiple questions.
Although a spokesperson would not give the location, a teacher at Manzano High School said it happened down the street, near Chelwood Park and Mountain NE.
The teacher told the Journal the incident鈥檚 proximity to the school was 鈥渁 little concerning.鈥
