Police investigating fatal shooting on city鈥檚 West Side
APD says a man killed was found in a crashed vehicle near Ladera and Tierra Pintada NW
Albuquerque police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city鈥檚 West Side.
Gilbert Gallegos, spokesperson for the Albuquerque Police Department, said late Friday that officers responded after 7 p.m. to reports of a shooting between Ladera and Tierra Pintada NW. An adult male was found in a crashed vehicle.
Gallegos said the male died from gunshot wounds. The shooting temporarily closed nearby Unser Boulevard so investigators could process the scene, Gallegos said.
Gallegos did not say whether APD had apprehended anyone in connection with the shooting or provide any other identifying information on the person killed.
