Roundhouse temporarily closes to visitors after caller relays unsubstantiated threat
The Secretary of State's Office was also closed in connection with incident

SANTA FE 鈥� The New Mexico state Capitol was closed to visitors for much of the day Tuesday after a threatening phone call prompted law enforcement involvement.
While the mid-morning threat was ultimately not found to be credible, the Roundhouse was still closed to the public and Capitol staffers were given the option of working for the rest of the day from home, according to the Legislative Council Service.
Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver鈥檚 office, which is located adjacent to the Roundhouse in the Capitol Annex, also announced Tuesday it had closed to the public.
No legislative committees were meeting in the Roundhouse on Tuesday, and the full Legislature is not expected to convene until the start of the 60-day legislative session in January.
Meanwhile, the disturbance came nearly a year after bomb threats targeting two high-ranking Democratic legislators鈥� Santa Fe homes prompted the closure of nearby roads and a local school. No one was ultimately injured or arrested in connection with the incident.
