These New Mexico restaurants were honored in Michelin鈥檚 first guide to the Southwest

Michelin, the tire company-turned-restaurant-compendium, included 12 New Mexico restaurants in its first to the American Southwest, released Wednesday. The guide includes eateries in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Nevada.
New Mexico did not pick up any Michelin stars 鈥� the guide鈥檚 top honor, awarded in this case only to restaurants in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Salt Lake City 鈥� but the Land of Enchantment鈥檚 restaurants scored several other accolades, including best cocktails and best value.
Five New Mexico restaurants received Michelin鈥檚 Bib Gourmand award for good food at reasonable prices, including Albuquerque mainstay Frontier near the University of New Mexico.
The Michelin guide bestowed recommendations 鈥� food that is 鈥渁bove average, but not quite at star of Bib level,鈥� according to the guide 鈥� for seven New Mexico restaurants: six of them in Santa Fe and one in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.
Campo at Los Poblanos, the Los Ranchos restaurant that received a Michelin recommendation, was also given the Michelin Guide Southwest Exceptional Cocktails Award.
