Lowrider Night, bobblehead giveaway brings out pre-dawn fans at Isotopes Park
Fans began lining up before 5 a.m. for the Mariachi Lowrider bicycle bobblehead giveaway at Rio Grande Credit Union Field

That, according to security cameras at Rio Grande Credit Union Field, was when the first fan showed up to wait Saturday morning.
6:35 p.m.
That was when Saturday鈥檚 game actually started.
That鈥檚 what the Isotopes鈥� wildly popular annual Mariachis de Nuevo Mexico/Lowrider Night game will do, especially with the main attraction 鈥� aside from the on-field car show and Mariachis鈥� pinstriped jerseys 鈥� was the specially designed Mariachi Lowrider bicycle bobblehead figurine that was handed out to the first 3,000 fans who walked through the gates.
By the time the lowriders left the field, all the bobbleheads had been gobbled up and the teams 鈥� the Isotopes, who were playing the visiting Las Vegas Aviators 鈥� an announced crowd of 8,865 fans was in the stadium.
The night included cars on display both outside the stadium before the game and an on-field car show on the outfield warning track that fans were allowed on the field to take part in before the game that featured Isotopes players wearing the one-time-only, specially designed Mariachis jerseys inspired by local lowrider artists Rob Vanderslice and Joseph 鈥淏last鈥� Leyba.
