What steps do you believe should be taken to improve New Mexico's economic competitiveness?

I want to visualize a workforce maximizing universal childcare bill I worked on, teaching children from three. Universities,unions, trade school jail need to work together and craft workforces that will work toward a cooperative relationship. I propose creating kinetic energy grids in large cities with high traffic.

New Mexico is the only state that does not pay its legislators a salary, though lawmakers do receive per diem payments and can qualify for a legislative pension. Do you support or oppose the proposed constitutional amendment calling for a new legislative salary tied to the median family income level? 

I support an $80 thousand annual pay which includes the per diem they receive currently and insure the retirement benefits stay on the same scale. The legislature needs a workforce to support a full-time legislature let鈥檚 use Santa Fe colleges who offer government focused programs to grow this workforce.

With New Mexico now the nation鈥檚 second-highest oil producing state, would you support or oppose changes to the state鈥檚 gross receipts tax and personal income tax structures? Please explain. 

I would support lowering states gross receipts tax if fossil fuel and mineral corporations hire nm residents; this would create a pathway to a solid middle class and would generate more supplemental revenue, keeping our tax basss on all levels solid and more equitable.

Would you support or oppose imposing water use limits on data centers? In addition, would you generally support or oppose banning data centers in New Mexico?

I would not support banning data centers. I would support incentives for incoming companies to generate their energy and water creatively. Whether it鈥檚 reclaimed water or kinetic energy grids,data centers who can self sustain and lessen their footprint are necessary to foster the AI future.

Amid a recent string of high-profile criminal cases involving juvenile defendants, do you support or oppose imposing stricter sentences for adolescents convicted of certain violent crimes? 

No, I do not support stricter penalties for juveniles.

Would you support or oppose a ban on selling certain types of firearms, including semiautomatic firearms and machine guns? 

I support law enforcement, military having the capacity to own high powered and automatic firearms.

Do you support or oppose using New Mexico鈥檚 National Guard to assist local law enforcement with issues related to public safety? 

No, that is the responsibility of the Federal government. It puts our military at risk of fentynal and dangers that put our nation at risk.

What changes would you propose to improve New Mexico鈥檚 Children, Youth and Families Department? 

CYFD should administrate itself, creating an intranet with federal subpoena powers. The governor of nm should be the first person who is called if a child is severely injured, homeless or facing sleeping in offices. At this time cyfd is investigating cases that police should take the lead for working.

What steps should be taken to bring New Mexico into compliance with the 2018 court ruling that found New Mexico is failing to provide a sufficient education to all students? 

My father funded the first Yazzie-Martinez bill. I would look to continue to provide quality schools, teachers and support to help our children succeed, especially in rural areas. The Yazzie-Martinez bill is some of my proudest work.

New Mexico has seen a string of devastating wildfires and floods in recent years. What policy steps, if any, should the state take to address these natural disasters? 

As a victim of Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon, our state needs to hold the federal government responsible for any actions that prove catastrophic to our state.

Would you support or oppose a paid family and medical leave program that would require most employees and employers to pay into a state-run fund? 

I would support paid leave for expectant parents, parents and legal gurdians.,

I have been arrested for misdemeanors, and every charge has been dismissed.
