Indigenous celebration
The 104th Santa Fe Indian Market will bring the best in Indigenous art to Santa Fe from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, through Sunday, Aug. 16. The free event takes place on the Santa Fe Plaza and in downtown Santa Fe. Visit swaia.org for more information.

The Albuquerque Astronomical Society is hosting a free Star Party from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Bachechi Open Space. The event will start with solar observing, followed by a discussion of the summer sky and night observing. Bachechi Open Space is located at 9521 Rio Grande Blvd. NW. The Rio Grande entry gate will be for telescopes only.
Guitar hero
The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is hosting a free concert at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14. The event is in celebration of the Santa Fe Indian Market and features Roberto Capocchi on guitar. The New Mexico Museum of Art is located at 107 W. Palace Ave in Santa Fe. For more information, visit santafechambermusic.org.

The Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway is holding its final car show of the summer from 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. Those who wish to show off their wheels should arrive by 7:30 a.m. The event is free and parking is first-come, first-served. The Sandia Peak Aerial Tram is located at 30 Tramway Road NE.
A human connection
Artist J. Waid Griffin will give a live painting demonstration from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, and artist Carolyn Berry will be giving a demonstration on encaustic wax from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Open Space Visitor Center. The free events are part of the New Mexico Art League鈥檚 exhibit 鈥淓ngaging with The Natural and Human Community!鈥� open now through Sept. 26, at the visitor center. The Open Space Visitor Center is located at 6500 Coors Blvd. NW.
Wheel fun
The Esperanza Bicycle Safety Education Center is holding a Pop Up Repair Clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the International District Library. The clinic will teach brake and shifting adjustments, how to lubricate your bike chain correctly, flat tire repair and more. The event is free but dependent on weather. Look for the yellow tent at the library, which is located at 7601 Central Ave. NE.
He has the blues
Blues musician Albert Castiglia will be making stops in Albuquerque and Santa Fe this week. At 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, Castiglia will play at Fusion | 708 located at 708 First St. NW. Then he will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Unit B by Chocolate Maven, located at 821 W. San Mateo Road in Santa Fe. Tickets for the Albuquerque show are $27 in advance and $32 day of, at ampconcerts.org. Tickets for the Santa Fe show are $44-$66 at ampconcerts.org.
