Fashion forward
Threading the Rift, a free one-day festival of fashion, dance, music and more, is coming to the 7K Studios from 2-9 p.m. Saturday, July 18. The event finale, featuring textiles by Josh Tafoya, with choreography by Nepantla Corazones Productions and music by Jupiter鈥檚 Baby, combines fashion, dance and sound. 7K Studios is located at 36 Espinoza Road in Ranchos de Taos.
The next generation
The New Mexico History Museum is hosting the Native American Artisans Portal Summer Youth Show and Sales from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19. The event features work from artists ages 5-17. Admission to the show is free. The New Mexico History Museum is located at 113 Lincoln Ave. in Santa Fe. The show is held in the Courtyard of the Palace of the Governors, and eventgoers are asked to enter through the 鈥渂lue gate鈥� or the museum鈥檚 main entrance on Lincoln Avenue.
鈥楪azing鈥� upon
鈥淕azing,鈥� 鈥渁 theatrical exploration of POV within the art world, the intimately personal interior, and the 鈥榰nadulterated鈥� realm of childhood,鈥� continues its run at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 18, and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19. The production is presented by Fusion Theatre Company in partnership with the Albuquerque Museum, and admission is pay what you wish, but reservations are required at fusionnm.org. The Saturday show will take place at Fusion | 708, located at 708 First St. NW, and Sunday鈥檚 production will be at the Albuquerque Museum, 2000 Museum Road NW.

The Los Ranchos Art Market is hosting a Summer Festival from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, July 18. The event will feature works by over 30 juried artisans, demonstrations, music and more. The event is free. The festival will be held at 6718 Rio Grande Blvd. NW in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.
Growing knowledge
The Xeric Garden Club of Albuquerque is hosting a talk by John Rembetski on 鈥淭he Imortance of Knowledge of the Provenance of Plants鈥� at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 18. Rembetski will discuss the native habitat of plants that can have success in Albuquerque landscapes. The event is free. The Xeric Habitat Garden at the Albuquerque Garden Center is located at 10120 Lomas Blvd. NE.
Get your motor running
The Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway is hosting a car show featuring vintage, street, super, custom and collector vehicles from 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, in honor of Route 66. The event is free. Those who wish to participate with their car in the show should arrive between 7:30-8:30 a.m. in the tram parking lot. Sandia Peak Aerial Tram is located at 30 Tramway Road NE.
Voices combined
Quintessence: A Community of Singers is hosting a Summer Choral Festival Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19. The 180-voice chorus will perform the U.S. premiere of Taylor Scott Davis鈥� 鈥淩equiem.鈥� Tickets are $10-$25, plus fees, at quintessence-abq.com. V. Sue Cleveland High School is located at 4800 Cleveland Heights Road in Rio Rancho.
