Albuquerque Public Schools is seeking feedback on student food and transportation for the upcoming school year.
The survey is open to students, parents, employees and community members online at and closes July 10. The results will be used to inform the district鈥檚 listening session on food and transportation July 27 at the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex at 6400 Uptown NE.
Attendees will be able to see the district鈥檚 new electric buses and preview new cafeteria menu items, APS officials said.
APS, the state鈥檚 largest district, is also the largest transportation authority in the state of New Mexico, driving more than 29,400 students to and from school each day for an average distance of about 27,250 miles daily.
The district also provides free breakfast and lunch to all students. Each year, APS serves 4.3 million breakfasts, 6.6 million lunches, 1.2 million snacks and 188,000 dinners in 142 cafeterias throughout the district.
APS will spend about $90.5 million of its $2.35 billion budget on food services next school year and $28.4 million on student transportation.
The first day of the 2025-26 school year for first through 12th graders is Aug. 7.
