BCSO investigates two deaths in Cedar Crest as 'homicide'

Two people were found dead inside a Cedar Crest home on Sunday morning.
At 4:55 a.m., the Bernalillo County Sheriff鈥檚 Office responded to a request for a welfare check on Mulberry Loop.
When deputies arrived, they found the bodies of Jesse Howser, 29, and Ashley Lopez, 34, BCSO spokesperson Connor Otero said.
鈥淒ue to evidence of apparent trauma, the incident is being investigated as a homicide,鈥� he said. 鈥淎t this time, there is no known threat to the community related to this incident. The investigation remains ongoing.鈥�
