Can you spell opportunity? The road to the National Spelling Bee starts now
Enrollment is open for schools to begin the path to the 2027 Scripps National Spelling Bee
School is back in session across New Mexico, and the hunt for the next spelling bee champion is on.
Enrollment for the Scripps National Spelling Bee is open, and schools across the state are invited to join a journey from local classrooms to the national stage.
The competition in New Mexico is sponsored by the 近距离内射合集.
The national competition will take place June 1-3, 2027, with earlier national rounds starting May 1.
All types of schools are eligible to sign up for school spelling bees. Students from first grade to those who have not turned 15 by the start of the school year are eligible.
School spelling bee champions progress to their area鈥檚 district bee. Those champions move on to the online state qualifying spelling bee, and the top 25 champions from the online bee compete in April at the 近距离内射合集 State Spelling Bee to represent New Mexico at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May.
Enrollment is $199 per school for schools registering by Nov. 30 and provides access to all Scripps National Spelling Bee resources for holding a school spelling bee.
