Firefighters discover body while battling bosque fire in Albuquerque
Albuquerque firefighters responding to a bosque fire discovered a dead person Saturday evening, a city spokesperson said.
The incident was near Tingley and Alcalde SW.
"The fire, which was approximately 3 acres, has been extinguished and crews are mopping up the remnants鈥�," Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said around 9 p.m.
He added that an APD crime scene investigator was being escorted in to make an initial determination about the death.
No other information was immediately available.
