Pandas, penguins and parrots: Balloon Fiesta drops list of 13 new special shape balloons
Menagerie of new balloons from across the world to make debut in Albuquerque this fall

Floating alongside fan favorites, a menagerie of 13 new special shapes balloons will take to New Mexico鈥檚 blue skies at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, according to an announcement Wednesday by fiesta staff.
The new balloons hail from all around the world, from as far as Brazil to as close as Colorado.
Though most of the balloons look like they鈥檝e escaped the zoo, several buck the animal trend. Diamond from North Macedonia is shaped like an inflatable diamond ring, while another, Agape from Colorado, is a bright-red heart balloon.
The special shapes lineup will also include 16 smaller globito balloons. Those balloons, which are about a third of the size of regular hot air balloons and steered by remote control, will include a spider pig and a dinosaur.
The Globitos will fly several days at the fiesta, and will be featured at the Globito Glow in the Village event Monday, Oct. 5.
