Leaders should prioritize climate
As residents of Albuquerque, we urge Rep. Melanie Stansbury and Sen. Martin Heinrich do everything in their power to prioritize our health, climate and environment.
This includes:
鈥topping efforts to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act鈥檚 climate and clean energy policies that put us on a path to cut climate pollution, help create millions of jobs and lower energy costs.
鈥locking the Trump administration and unelected billionaire Elon Musk from cutting vital government programs and experienced and new staff to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy.
鈥esisting attempts to eliminate critical environmental protection laws.
The erosion of our collective standard of living concerns us greatly as citizens of New Mexico not only for ourselves, but for our fellow citizens and our children and grandchildren. We wish to thank Stansbury and Heinrich for their outstanding efforts for environmental and civil rights protection and urge them both to continue to speak up publicly, vote and do more to fight for everyday people.
