He may have meant unhinged, erratic, reckless or destabilizing; these reflect the rhetoric and actions from the White House. His arguments might improve if he distanced himself from MAGA. EH

The southeast NM folks who want to secede likely call others 鈥渟nowflakes,鈥� yet they want to JOIN TEXAS because of backside rash. State Sen. Mimi Stewart was right: If they feel out of step with NM, move to Texas. After all, love it or leave it, right? BC

I might add another disrespect by MLG to Jeff Tucker's column. In her multiple state of the state addresses, she rarely if ever credited the OIL & GAS industry for state revenues that funded all her spending proposals. Go, Jeff, go, keep it up. SW

Trump's war has caused gasoline, food and other prices to increase significantly. But what is Jeff Tucker worried about? Whether southeast New Mexico should join Texas. We have bigger problems. AF

Regarding 鈥淰asquez calls for closure of Fort Bliss ICE detention camp鈥� (April 6 Journal): Keep the FORT BLISS ICE DETENTION CAMP open. Not only that, increase its size. Not only that, keep it fully occupied, no matter what that New Mexico politician whines. By the way, the camp is in Texas 鈥� not New Mexico, so he should mind his own business. KK

Regarding: 鈥淥PINION: Ranked choice voting is the wrong approach鈥� (April 4 Journal): RANKED CHOICE VOTING is effective and efficient. The April 4 opinion piece trashing ranked choice voting misses the point. Ranked choice voting avoids expensive and imperfect runoff elections by giving all voters a chance to vote their preferences the first time rather than having to vote twice, which many won't do. TS

Iran鈥檚 Islamic Republic is barbaric, but we must not mirror its cruelty. No president should commit WAR CRIMES in our name. Fellow Americans who remain supportive: history will judge your complicity. We must demand accountability before our national character is permanently stained. Congress, act; our country's soul is at stake. AM

POTUS' main "accomplishment" so far has been MASSIVE INSTABILITY at home and worldwide. This applies to tariffs and many other areas that are on again/off again, seat-of-the-pants edicts. Typically, there's no transparency or reasons for actions. That denies our voices. The war with Iran, immigration enforcement and more cost billions. Terrible. MY

First there was the term 鈥淭rump Derangement Syndrome鈥� and now we have 鈥�TRUMPIFICATION鈥� over vulgar language used on Easter Sunday, justifying it to make his point. Using foul language is never seen as a reasonable person's way to prove a point. DD

叠颈诲别苍鈥檚 COGNITIVE HEALTH was front page news for two years. Trump spent Easter posting profanity, threatening war crimes, skipping church and golfing. The coverage has not been the same. The news media has a decidedly MAGA bias. MF

Trump said "smart people don't like me,鈥� showing that he is a liar and fools people with his lies and the smart ones don't believe his lies. What does that say about the people who voted for him? The MAGA GOP, his enablers, are the biggest fools of all. EN

There are 166 million American citizens who don鈥檛 have a passport, even more of us have different names than the one on our birth certificates. For context, 153 million people voted in the 2024 election. Our democracy is under threat from the SAVE ACT, not from the 15 ineligible attempts at voting. JCS
