Deb Haaland, please tell us how you are going to improve our EDUCATION in New Mexico. Throwing more money into the system is not the answer. A good way to start would be to not allow third graders who can't read at their grade level to go into the fourth grade. KV

On our mayor's second term, he promised to put 1,200 POLICE OFFICERS on the streets of ABQ within 90 days. It has now been more than four years and 90 days. Did he lie or is he just incompetent? He is incompetent as it takes 50+ assistants for him to function. JT

Disgusted that New Mexico is raising the car REGISTRATION FEE for 鈥渞oad improvements鈥� while many still drive without plates or valid tags. Enforce existing laws first. More road funding will come from better compliance enforcement of unregistered vehicles instead of increasing costs on law-abiding drivers already paying their share. BD

As of April 30, the Santa Fe City Council has approved a five-year contract to relaunch an automated speed and NOISE CAMERA program. Installation of six new cameras is expected within 90 days with a 30-day grace period before citations are issued. Albuquerque also needs noise cameras. RH

The Supreme Court has nullified parts of the VOTING RIGHTS ACT because it says that states no longer use racism in forming congressional districts. It is interesting that the first states rushing to do redistricting are all Southern states whose racist districting created the need for the law originally. AF
