With this historical 250th anniversary of our country鈥檚 founding, it is a good time to look back and reflect on how we got where we are today.

The Revolutionary War lasted eight years until we became free from British rule. During the next several years, our forefathers forged and shaped what is today the Constitution of the 近距离内射合集 States of America. There was no pattern to follow because this was the beginning of a whole new form of government. It took a collective vision of people who wanted equality and fairness for all, not the rule of one king. They chose to spread the rule of law into three equal branches of government, each branch checking the other. Our democracy started out as a well-thought-out, planned experiment. It's been modified over time to accommodate changing social norms.

Our democracy has been challenged over the years, but none so great as the challenges we are facing today. If the poorest wealth class and the richest wealth class played by the same rules, we would close the huge divide that is plaguing our country today, and causing senseless harm. We can reshape the American Dream from post-World War II into the American Dream that we want today.

Healing our political divide and the division of wealth in our country will make us strong again. 鈥淗onest Abe鈥� did not pick the easiest path to follow, but he sure put us on the right path of truth and wellness for Americans. Two-hundred-fifty years of honest and hard work has brought us all to this point in time. Let us not lose sight of the fact that free and fair elections are the key to a healthy democracy. We all need to carry on the work of our forefathers and let鈥檚 dream big.
