鈥淲e鈥檙e extremely excited to have Gino behind the microphone for our inaugural season,鈥 said Lucas Kalish, director of marketing, in a news release. 鈥淚t was important for us to have someone who understands New Mexico, knows the hockey community here and shares the excitement surrounding this franchise. Gino brings a genuine passion for the game and for this state, and we鈥檙e excited for our fans to get to know him throughout the season.鈥
Gutierrez, an Albuquerque native, attended the University of New Mexico, where he majored in multimedia journalism. While there, he was the managing and sports editor for the New Mexico Daily Lobo.
