Our river may be looking a little dry, but there is mud to be found this weekend at the Open Space Visitor Center. Instead of wallowing in the misery of the U.S.鈥檚 World Cup loss, you can wallow in a mud obstacle course. Or splash on out at one of these other events.

Going country
The Wonder Women of Country 鈥� Kelly Willis, Melissa Carper and Brennen Leigh 鈥� are coming to Fusion | 708 at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16. Tickets are $33 at ampconcerts.org. Fusion | 708 is located at 708 First St. NW. The group will also be performing at the She Rises Music Festival in Taos.
Another dimension
The National Stereoscopic Association is bringing 3D-Con to The Clyde Hotel from Sunday, July 12, through Sunday, July 19. The event focuses on the 鈥渁rt, history and future of stereoscopic imaging.鈥� There will be workshops, photography contests, history sessions and more. On Friday and Saturday, there will be a free NSA Trade Fair. Admission is $30-$180 at 3d-con.com. Admission is free on Sunday, July 19, and daily for for qualified individuals. Going under
Rockers Evanescence are coming to the First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater with Spiritbox and Nova Twins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14. The band is on a global tour on the heels of its new album 鈥淪anctuary.鈥� Tickets start at $49 at firstfinancialamp.com. Sing responsibly
Quintessence: A Community of Singers is bringing Beer Choir to Dripline Brewery at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14. The event is free but registration is required at quintessence-abq.com. Singers can download the hymnal for the event at the Quintessence website, which includes songs like 鈥淐heers for Tomorrow,鈥� 鈥淎lso Drank Varathursta,鈥� 鈥淭ake Me Out to the Tavern鈥� and more. Dripline is located at 1320 Second St. NW.
Just add water
It鈥檚 International Mud Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the Open Space Visitor Center. Eventgoers can take on the mud obstacle course, cook up something in the mud kitchen, cool off in the water play area and more. The event is free. The Open Space Visitor Center is located at 6500 Coors Blvd. NW.
Strike up the band
The Albuquerque Concert Band will be performing at the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 15. The concert is free and blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Eventgoers are asked to enter through gate BM-6 on the east side of the building. The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is located at 9201 Balloon Museum Drive NE.
Good Vibration
Joseph General and High Vibration will be performing at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden on Thursday, July 16. The band will take the stage at 7 p.m. and concertgoers are invited to explore the aquarium, which will be open for 鈥渁 little extra splash of adventure.鈥� Tickets are $3.75-$15 at artsandculture.cabq.gov, and free for children 2 and under. The ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden is located at 2601 Central Ave. NW.
