Hundreds participate in the People's March in Downtown ABQ

Civic Plaza in Downtown Albuquerque was chock-full of people concerned about various issues, including President-elect Donald Trump鈥檚 return to the White House.
Some people held signs that said 鈥淭rump Hates You鈥� and 鈥淓qual Rights for All鈥� while others wore outfits that read 鈥�(Expletive) Trump.鈥�
Among those to attend Sunday鈥檚 People鈥檚 March were outgoing U.S. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland and Rep. Melanie Stansbury, D-N.M.
Goals of the march were to 鈥渦nite the people who鈥檝e been the backbone of resistance for generations,鈥� 鈥渞emind civil servants they answer to us鈥� and 鈥渢o inspire, energize, and drive change long after the day is done,鈥� according to the People鈥檚 March website.
The march was one of several nationwide protests, rallies and vigils focused on abortion, rights, immigration rights and the Israel-Hamas war planned in advance of inauguration Monday, .
