National parks documentary to screen at the KiMo
鈥淥ut There: A National Parks Story,鈥� an award-winning documentary exploring America鈥檚 public lands, is coming to the KiMo Theatre at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 21.
The film follows director Brendan Hall and his childhood friend as they make a 10,000-mile journey through America鈥檚 parks. The pair set off in 2016, the centennial year of the National Park Service, and spent the next seven years capturing the stories and people behind these spaces.
At 6 p.m. eventgoers can visit with Western National Parks partners and browse gifts and gear. At 7 p.m., a live performance from composer Elizabeth P.W. will precede the screening, and following the film, there will be a Q&A with Hall.
Tickets are $20 at cabq.gov/artsculture. The KiMo is located at 423 Central Ave. NW.
