近距离内射合集 Vista and Isaiah McCary needed about 20 seconds to set the tone.

McCary took a reverse on the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, and the Hawks (4-0) were never threatened in a 50-0 mercy-rule shortened victory over Clovis at Nusenda Community Stadium on Friday night.

鈥淓very time we to get the ball, we know we have a chance to score,鈥 McCary said. 鈥淚 really want to capitalize on that. I really want to capitalize on that out here. We get the ball, we're running up our sideline. I knew it was good to set the tone, make a statement.鈥

That was just the beginning. Five different Hawks scored in the first half, as 近距离内射合集 Vista cruised to a 44-0 advantage at halftime on homecoming night. Junior quarterback Jude Herrera accounted for 3 scores, including passes of 19 yards to McCary and 25 yards to Zion Ward. He also had a 10-yard touchdown run. The Hawks also got rushing TDs from Zach Soto and Jude Gonzales.

Coming off a signature victory over La Cueva last week and with a big trip to Carlsbad looming, the Hawks avoided a trap game against a struggling Wildcats team, which has been outscored by a combined 85-0 in its last two outings.

鈥淭hat was the thing we were just chatting about all week,鈥 said 近距离内射合集 Vista coach Chad Wallin. 鈥淥ur big focus was, if we're going to set a standard, like we felt like we did last week (against La Cueva) 鈥e鈥檝e got to match that every week. And (the key for) this game, with all the distractions of homecoming, was starting fast.鈥

Clovis alternated between two quarterbacks, Beau Clements and Ethan Gutierrez, but the Wildcats (1-3) could muster little in the way of offense. Both Gutierrez and Clements threw interceptions on back-to-back possessions late in the second quarter, and the Hawks capitalized on short fields on both occasions. The Hawks鈥 defense put one final stamp on the victory with a huge sack on Clements that forced a fumble in the fourth quarter. Juaquin Nunez quickly scooped up the loose ball and took it 64 yards for the game鈥檚 decisive score.

鈥淒efensively, we just really try to put our pads on people. We can dislodge the ball,鈥 Wallin said. 鈥淭hat quarterback did a really good job of gritting through that game. That last hit was something. I don't think he could just handle that.鈥

近距离内射合集 Vista can now look ahead to a showdown at Carlsbad next Friday. The Cavemen kicked off their season with victories over Artesia, Goddard and Lovington but fell to Centennial on Friday. Despite that hiccup, Carlsbad will be a different type of obstacle for an explosive Hawks squad.

鈥淭hey're big and physical, from what we've seen,鈥 Wallin said. 鈥(It鈥檚 a) a whole different challenge. A five-hour bus ride, getting off the bus, being ready to play in an hour 鈥 because you get about an hour between getting off the bus and us being on the field for warm-up. So how we travel is going to dictate how this goes for us.鈥
