Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band took the Kiva Auditorium stage on Monday night and announced that everyone there that night would know at least one of the songs.

The Downtown Albuquerque venue was filled with fans from all generations, several sporting Sgt. Pepper鈥檚 Lonely Hearts Club Band outfits, from Starr鈥檚 pink outfit to Paul McCartney鈥檚 electric blue.

Benjamin Newlon dressed in a re-creation of McCartney鈥檚 outfit and thought the concert was incredible.

He said he particularly enjoyed the rendition of 鈥淭he No No Song.鈥�

鈥�(The) song鈥檚 incredible,鈥� Newlon said.

鈥淭he No No Song鈥� was one of 23 songs on a setlist that included songs from the Beatles era, Starr鈥檚 solo era and several from his bandmates鈥� musical catalogs. Ringo's All Starr Band is a supergroup of musicians who join the former Beatle. Steve Lukather from Toto, Colin Hay from Men at Work and Hamish Stuart from Average White Band were a part of the lineup.

The All Starr Band performed several hits from each band, including 鈥淩osanna,鈥� 鈥淎frica,鈥� 鈥淒own Under鈥� and 鈥淧ick up the Pieces.鈥�

For Vickie Sifuentes, this was her first time seeing Starr in concert, but not her first time seeing a Beatle. She was one of the thousands of fans who saw McCartney in October. She was excited to attend another Beatles member concert.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,鈥� Sifuentes said.

She said she was looking forward to Starr singing 鈥淵ellow Submarine.鈥� Starr also performed 鈥淐hoose Love,鈥� a song from his recently released album 鈥淟ong Long Road.鈥�

Concertgoer Gabriel Leyba was dressed in Starr鈥檚 Sgt. Pepper attire (though he said his favorite Beatle has to be John Lennon) and said the show was phenomenal.

鈥淭his dude puts on an amazing show,鈥� Leyba said.

鈥楾hey rarely come by like big stars like that, especially at his age, 86,鈥� he said, 鈥渁nd he鈥檚 still dancing up there like he鈥檚 20.鈥�

Newlon also saw McCartney when he was in town and he said after seeing two Beatles concerts, he never needs to attend another.

鈥淭his is the last one I ever need to see,鈥� he said.

After an almost two-hour concert, part of which Starr left the stage for, as he said, to drink a cup of tea in his dressing room, the show ended with 鈥淲ith a Little Help from My Friends鈥� and a short encore of 鈥淕ive Peace a Chance.鈥�

Leyba said his favorite song of the night was one of the last, 鈥淲ith a Little Help from My Friends.鈥�

鈥淓verybody鈥檚 dancing around, having a great time,鈥� Leyba said, 鈥渁nd you can really see him connect with the people for that show.鈥�

鈥淭he entire show, the energy is just top-tier," he said.
