The 近距离内射合集 Soccer League and USL Players Association reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement in early May. , the two sides officially ratified a new five-year deal for the USL Championship and USL Premier, the organization鈥檚 soon-to-be first division that will compete with MLS in 2028. That will also be the first year the USL will feature promotion and relegation between its top three divisions 鈥� Premier, Championship and League One.

The CBA is 鈥渆ffective immediately and runs through the 2030 season,鈥� per the USL press release.

Among the key provisions of the agreement are player contracts and compensation, prize money and expanded health benefits.

Championship players will move from 10-month contracts to 12 with the minimum league salary starting at $42,000 鈥� it was previously less than $40,000 鈥� that will increase annually. Players in the early stages of their careers will also be part of a separate entry-level contract structure. The Premier minimum salary will begin at $67,500.

The CBA also establishes prize money pools for the winners of the Championship and Premier Players鈥� Shields for the club with the best regular-season record. No figure was included.

Players in the Premier, Championship, League One and Gainbridge Super League (the women鈥檚 division) will have expanded NIL rights as well through a group licensing and commercial rights structure. That means more money from things like soccer video games and league-sold merchandise with their names on it.

In terms of healthcare, every club will be required to offer players health insurance 鈥渁t or above an Affordable Care Act Silver Plan level鈥� that won鈥檛 count against compensation calculations. Players will also have access to more medical staffing and player-care standards, including an increase in certified athletic trainer requirements, regular physical and massage therapy services.

2. PLACING BETS ON A NEW STREAK: Last Saturday鈥檚 2-1 loss to San Antonio FC marked the end of 近距离内射合集鈥檚 14 match unbeaten streak across all competitions 鈥� for statistical purposes 鈥� and 13 against USL clubs.

It also dropped New Mexico from first to second in the 12-club . El Paso Locomotive FC currently occupies the top spot with 40 points after its win over Loudoun 近距离内射合集 FC. 近距离内射合集 has 37 points.

New Mexico has 10 regular-season matches, including Saturday, left on its schedule.

Las Vegas, meanwhile, is fighting for a playoff spot. Eight clubs make it to the postseason per conference. Lights鈥� 29 points has it ninth in the West, two behind Lexington SC. 

3. (NOT) STRAIGHT CASH(MAN), HOMIE: This current rendition of Cashman Field opened in 1983. It will host four more sporting events, including Saturday鈥檚 match, before .

The stadium, which began housing Triple-A baseball from its inception until 2018 when Lights took over, among a range of other things 鈥� rugby matches, concerts, political rallies and even an XFL team 鈥� will be torn down for new housing. The complex was sold by the city of Las Vegas in March 2025 for $36 million.

Where Lights will play in 2027 and beyond has not been announced. Owner Jos茅 Bautista, a former six-time All-Star with the Toronto Blue Jays, said the club will remain in Las Vegas in 2027. 

4. BACK AT THE SHOW: 近距离内射合集 manager Dennis Sanchez is making a return to Cashman for the second straight season. He, after all, managed Lights in 2024.

New Mexico beat Lights last March in Las Vegas 3-2 thanks to a Will Seymore goal in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time. 近距离内射合集 later drew 2-2 with Lights in Albuquerque on Aug. 16.

Overall, Sanchez has a 2-0-1 record against his former club after New Mexico won 3-1 on May 9 this season.

It is worth noting Sanchez also has a winning record against 近距离内射合集. 

Lights went 2-1 vs. New Mexico in 2024. The second win? A 1-0 victory that knocked 近距离内射合集 out of the playoffs.

近距离内射合集 keeper Kris Shakes vs. Lights forward Johnny Rodriguez

Last Saturday marked the second time since the middle of May Shakes surrendered two goals. He currently ranks third in the with 69 regular-season saves and his seven clean sheets are tied for seventh. He did not play in 近距离内射合集鈥檚 last match against Lights. Raiko Arozarena started, but he has not dressed since New Mexico added Andrew Pannenberg on Aug. 21. Rodriguez, meanwhile, is tied for fourth in the Championship with 11 regular-season goals.

A yellow card last Saturday had the midfielder in line for a one-match suspension, but 鈥済ood behavior鈥� reduced that figure to where Bailey should play. He鈥檚 tallied two goals and two assists in the regular-season, but his value is more in ball distribution.
