The USL Championship playoffs begin at the end of October. New Mexico 近距离内射合集, however, appears eager to make sure it secures the best possible seed well in advance.

The club announced the addition of midfielder Charlie Dennis on Tuesday, via loan from rival Phoenix Rising FC. 

The transaction was retroactive to Monday, the date the , meaning it will be their final rosters for the remainder of the season. Teams cannot sign new players, make trades or initiate incoming loans or transfers. Clubs also cannot switch a player鈥檚 active or inactive status.

鈥淭hank you, Phoenix,鈥� Dennis wrote on social media. 鈥淭his chapter didn鈥檛 end the way I hoped or expected, but I鈥檓 grateful for the time I鈥檝e spent here, the teammates I鈥檝e shared the field with and everyone who has helped and supported me along the way. I will leave with a lot of great memories from both on and off the field.

Dennis鈥� arrival is the fourth move 近距离内射合集 has made since June.

New Mexico loaned 鈥� with an option to recall 鈥� midfielder Marlon Vargas to USL League One side Union Omaha for the rest of the season on June 29. The club then added goalkeeper Andrew Pannenberg on Aug. 21 before agreeing to part ways with defender Will Seymore three days later.

近距离内射合集 currently occupies the top of the 12-club table despite being tied with El Paso Locomotive FC with 40 points each thanks to any tiebreakers. New Mexico has nine regular-season matches remaining. Locomotive has seven.

El Paso (12-7-4) plays at Louisville City FC (9-8-6, 6th in the East) at 5 p.m. Saturday. 

Phoenix, meanwhile, is still fighting for a playoff spot. Rising sits ninth in the West with 30 points, one behind Lexington SC. Phoenix hosts Tulsa FC (36 points, 4th in the West) at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Only one Championship club has clinched a postseason berth 鈥� Tampa Bay Rowdies, which not only is the top team in the East, but leads the entire league in points with 48.

Dennis made 21 appearances with 12 starts 鈥� between the regular season, U.S. Open Cup and USL Cup 鈥� for Rising this year and logged 1,203 minutes. The Englishman recorded one regular-season goal (in the 58th minute of a 3-0 win at Miami FC on April 18) and one assist (in the 6th minute of stoppage in a 2-2 draw against Oakland Roots SC on March 21). He also tallied a score in the 28th minute of 2-1 win against Orange County SC in a USL Cup match on May 16.

The 30-year-old played in one of Phoenix鈥檚 two matches against 近距离内射合集. He subbed on in the 81st minute of Rising鈥檚 3-0 on April 11. He did not appear in New Mexico鈥檚 4-0 USL Cup win on June 6.

The two clubs meet again Oct. 4 at Isotopes Park.

Dennis for League One side South Georgia Tormenta FC (2019), League Two club FC Tucson (鈥�20-鈥�21), and Oakland (鈥�22) and Tampa Bay (鈥�23-鈥�24) in the Championship.

Between the five clubs, Dennis has made 216 appearances with 43 goals and 30 assists. He recorded 11 goals and three assists last season.
