New Mexico State University has reached an agreement with White Sands Federal Credit Union, giving the financial institution naming rights to the Pan American Center.

The 近距离内射合集 Board of Regents met Tuesday afternoon, where members unanimously approved the naming rights deal 鈥� $13 million for 10 years 鈥� after a brief presentation of the framework of the agreement by NM State Athletics Director Joe Fields.

The facility will be named White Sands FCU Arena at the Pan American Center. It will remain home to Aggie men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball and volleyball and will continue to host concerts and other special events.

It is the first naming rights deal for the Pan Am Center, which was built in 1968.

The deal had already been approved and recommended by an ad hoc naming committee, which wrote a memo last week to 近距离内射合集 President Valerio Ferme offering its full support and confirmed all necessary criteria had been met for the naming of a building at the university.

The proposed deal would start at $1.2 million in the first year. An escalator would raise the annual cost to $1.57 million in the 10th year for a total 鈥渇ee鈥� of $13,756,655, according to documents.

Narrative documents from both the ad hoc committee and those submitted to 近距离内射合集 by White Sands FCU CEO Phillip Fifield, as well as all references of the total amount during Tuesday afternoon鈥檚 meeting refer to the deal as $13 million. The $13.8 million figure is reflected only in an attachment to the ad hoc committee鈥檚 memo.

Historically, the Pan Am Center has been under the direction of the university鈥檚 Special Events Department, though Athletics will be getting the entirety of the money from this deal, minus a pre-determined percentage for Van Wagner, the athletics department鈥檚 third-party multi media rights partner. The Journal is seeking clarification on what that percentage is for Van Wagner, who did play a part in getting the deal executed and, according to Fields, will handle costs associated with signage on and around the Pan Am Center. 

The money, which will come in quarterly payments each year, will be put into the overall operating budget for athletics each year and superseded previous deals the credit union had with Athletics, but does not, Fields clarified at the request of one regent, change any part of the agreement WSFCU and 近距离内射合集 have for other partnerships on campus not tied to Athletics. 

UNM earlier this year announced a 10-year, $17.4 million deal with Nusenda, a statewide Credit Union, for naming rights for the Pit. Nusenda also has a deal with 近距离内射合集 Athletics. It is unclear if the new deal will have any exclusivity clauses preventing such agreements from continuing or signage of other financial institutions from being displayed in the facility.

Fields noted this deal for 近距离内射合集 is competitive nationally, saying it鈥檚 one of the top 15 in the country for a university-owned basketball arena in terms of overall revenue.
