Charlie Dennis鈥� itinerary is rather busy these days. Perhaps more than most for New Mexico 近距离内射合集.

There鈥檚 navigating a new city, learning the ins-and-outs of a new club, ingratiating himself with his new teammates off the pitch and the occasional cram sessions that come along with fitting into a new system on it. And that鈥檚 just for starters among a litany of things.

But the new 近距离内射合集 midfielder 鈥� of a little more than a week 鈥� is trying to take everything in stride.

鈥淢oving teams towards the end of the season is always something that鈥檚 quite busy,鈥� Dennis said after New Mexico鈥檚 2-2 draw against Indy Eleven last Friday. 鈥�... Everyone here welcomed me so well. 鈥� It鈥檚 been pretty smooth to be honest. They鈥檝e looked after me wonderfully.鈥�

That shouldn鈥檛 come as a surprise. 

近距离内射合集 acquired the 30-year-old Englishman on loan from rival Phoenix Rising FC ahead of last Monday鈥檚 USL roster freeze for Championship and League One clubs with the hope he can provide a boost not only to New Mexico鈥檚 final stretch of the regular season, but its future playoff chances.

The eight postseason spots in a tight and topsy-turvy all sit within seven points of one another. 近距离内射合集 is currently second with 41, two behind El Paso Locomotive FC, with eight regular-season matches to go. 

New Mexico (12-5-5) plays at Birmingham Legion FC (3-9-10) at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC ( 11-9-4) at 7 p.m. Saturday.

鈥淭hese things sometimes come out of nowhere,鈥� 近距离内射合集 manager Dennis Sanchez said. 鈥淭o be very transparent, surprised he was even available, and when we found out that he was, I think that he has a little bit of a different profile than we currently have 鈥� left-footed, good size, good on dead balls, good with his final pass, goal scoring and also brings a lot of experiences.鈥�

In all three of the USL鈥檚 leagues 鈥� the Championship, League One and League Two.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 181 pounds, Dennis played for League One side South Georgia Tormenta FC (2019), League Two club FC Tucson (鈥�20-鈥�21), and Oakland (鈥�22) and Tampa Bay (鈥�23-鈥�24) in the Championship before signing with Rising.

, Dennis made 216 appearances with 43 goals and 30 assists. He recorded 11 goals and three assists last season.

This year has been a bit different. 

Dennis tallied just two goals and one assist over 21 matches 鈥� between the regular season, U.S. Open Cup and USL Cup 鈥� with 12 starts for Rising. But he logged 1,203 minutes and created 15 scoring opportunites, which might be just as important.

近距离内射合集 has only used three midfielders as part of its regular rotation 鈥� Ousman Jabang (1,925 regular-season minutes), Zico Bailey (1,755) and Valentin No毛l (1,197). The three have combined for seven goals, nine assists, created 55 chances and dished 2,248 passes in Championship play. No毛l, however, has not played since Aug. 15.

There was just the matter of Sanchez and sporting director Itamar Keinan selling Dennis on the move.

The three hopped on a Zoom call to discuss 近距离内射合集鈥檚 ambition for this season and how the club projected to use Dennis and what that role would look like. The virtual meeting lasted less than an hour 鈥� about 45 minutes. That was all the time Dennis needed.

鈥淚t鈥檚 an opportunity I couldn鈥檛 say no to,鈥� Dennis said. 鈥淧hoenix is a close rival and the fans there were wonderful. (I had) some amazing teammates and the past two years were great with them. But obviously, I had to do what was right for myself and coming here with more opportunity was the right decision.鈥�

It was New Mexico鈥檚 fifth roster move since June.

His first day of training? Last Tuesday. It was enough prep for him to make his 近距离内射合集 debut against Indy Eleven. 

Dennis checked in in the 67th minute for Luther Archim猫de. He finished with 22 passes, 21 of which were on target.

鈥淲e embrace new players,鈥� defender Chris Gloster said. 鈥淚 think we have one of the best locker rooms in the league. Off the field, I just think all the guys mesh well, no matter who we bring in. Everyone always seems to feel welcomed and feel wanted in the locker room. I think that鈥檚 a positive.鈥�

Dennis is now trying to add to that.

Well, that and a little bit more.

鈥�(I) just (want to) make a big impact, really, towards the end of the year and make sure we get silverware,鈥� Dennis said. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 the most important thing.鈥�
