The CBS Sports Network commentators didn鈥檛 appear to mind. After all, they saw it coming. But what else were they going to do? The chances of trying to stop the onrush of New Mexico 近距离内射合集鈥檚 players and coaching staff from huddling up around the midfielder for one final postmatch breakdown were near zero. There was little doubt about that.

There was also, however, one small matter to clear up. How exactly did that just happen? Or better yet, what exactly just happened?

For the first 70-plus minutes, Monterey Bay 鈥� the team last in the 12-club and the team with the third-fewest points overall in the USL Championship 鈥� was spending the majority of its time in and around the 近距离内射合集 box, if not providing fit after fit for the New Mexico defenders, then certainly a level of frustration and an out-of-sort performance it hasn鈥檛 been accustomed to. The right side suffered the worst and was the heaviest hit.

At one point, the broadcasters said Monterey Bay was 鈥済iving New Mexico the business.鈥� They weren鈥檛 wrong. Monterey Bay (4-13-3) finished with 25 shots, eight of which were on target. It led to two goals with Ryuga Nakamura scoring in the 31st minute and Sebastian Lletget in the 55th, and a 2-1 lead.

And then the final 20 minutes hit and, somehow, everything changed. Pick any clich茅 that works. 近距离内射合集 played like it has for much of its unbeaten streak, which .

After all, better late than never.

New Mexico scored four times during that final stretch, one that for statistical purposes increased that unbeaten streak to 11 across all competitions 鈥� the regular season, USL Cup and its international friendly. For Championship purposes, that streak is at 10.

Whatever the case, it pushed 近距离内射合集 (9-4-3) to 30 points and past FC Tulsa for third in the West. 近距离内射合集 is now two points behind second-place San Antonio FC and four lower than Orange County SC, which occupies the top spot.

Greg Hurst notched the equalizer in the 74th minute on an assist from No毛l, who followed Hurst鈥檚 lead four minutes later with the go-ahead goal.

The Frenchman promptly celebrated by answering an imaginary phone call and then hanging up. It might as well have been 近距离内射合集 disconnecting Monterey Bay from any chance of winning. Really, it was the perfect time for his teammates to break out some French themselves. A little 鈥渕erci beaucoup鈥� or 鈥渢hank you very much.鈥� No毛l also scored in the sixth minute.

Dayonn Harris tacked on another goal in the 86th. Niall Reid-Stephen added one himself in the first minute of stoppage time. Both were second-half substitutes 鈥� along with defenders Tyler Blackett and Cam Wilkerson. Reid-Stephen checked in in the 45th minute for Cristian Nava. Harris in the 74th for Joseph Melto.

Chris Gloster, Ousman Jabang, Niko H盲m盲l盲inen and Harris all provided assists.

鈥淭he reality is, even when we went down 2-1 at the 55th minute, we knew that we had time,鈥� Sanchez said. 鈥�... There were moments in the first half when we arrived to the final third (of the pitch) and I thought our decision making and execution were lacking. For me, that was the biggest difference. 

鈥淎s the game went on, we just became more and more killers. 鈥� And I think the subs that we brought on really helped change the game and made a massive difference.鈥�

It was enough time for 近距离内射合集 to set a few club records along the way: the four unanswered goals were the most after trailing, topping the three against San Antonio on Oct. 20, 2021; the five goals its the most on the road, besting the three it scored multiple times. It also happened to be the second-most goals New Mexico has scored in a league match, falling two shy of the seven it tallied against Phoenix Rising FC on May 24, 2022.
